Frequently asked questions
Yes. Teladoc doctors can write prescriptions when medically necessary. They can send prescriptions to your local pharmacy. Teladoc doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic, and/or certain other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. Also, non-therapeutic drugs such as Viagra and Cialis are not prescribed by their doctors.

Log in to your Teladoc account through Teladoc’s website or app. For web, click the “My Family” tab, then click “My Dependents,” and then “Add New Dependent.” You will be asked to provide some information using your CGS Health member ID card. Then click the register button. For app, tap the menu bar, then “Medical Info,” and then “Add new +.” You will be asked to provide some information using your CGS Health member ID card. Then tap the continue button.
Teladoc does NOT handle emergency situations. They treat non-urgent medical problems. Always call 911 or go to an ER for emergency situations.
